The Great Worcester Maize Maze

An Evening of Mantrailing at The Great Worcester Maize Maze

Yesterday, we were lucky enough to attend our Mantrailing session at The Great Worcester Maize Maze — and we had the whole place to ourselves after hours. Tucked away in the heart of the Worcestershire countryside, it promised fresh air, games, and a giant maze made of maize. Spoiler: it delivered on all counts!

First Impressions

As we pulled up, we found plenty of easy parking and clear signage to guide us straight to the entrance. Right away, we were greeted by friendly staff who set the tone for a relaxed and fun-filled evening. The maze field itself looked enormous, with not just one, but three well-sized mazes to explore.

About The Great Worcester Maize Maze

The Great Worcester Maize Maze offers a fantastic outdoor adventure for families, friends, and puzzle lovers of all ages. Even better, the mazes are dog friendly, although dogs must be kept on leads during the visit.

Located in Powick — a small village just outside the Malvern Hills and Worcester City areas — this giant maze is carved into a field of towering maize plants. Each summer, a brand-new theme keeps things fresh and exciting.

In 2025, the maze is celebrating an incredible milestone: 20 years of fun. With interactive challenges, family games, and plenty of fresh air, it’s the perfect way to spend a fun-filled day out.

What to Expect

Whether you’re racing to the finish or simply enjoying the journey, The Great Worcester Maize Maze is a seasonal must-visit. The site boasts three different maize mazes to enjoy at your own pace throughout the day.

When hunger strikes, you can take advantage of the onsite food and drink offerings. Options include soft drinks, hot drinks, snacks, homemade cakes, ice creams (for both humans and dogs!), and a range of hot snacks.

There is also onsite parking and toilet facilities, so you can relax and enjoy a full day out. Most of the maize plants stand around six feet tall, but due to the 2025 drought, there are a few smaller patches this year.

Tips for Future Visitors

  • Wear comfy shoes — the paths can be dusty and long.
  • Bring water and sunscreen if the sun is shining.
  • Arrive early to make the most of all the activities; you can easily spend the whole day here.
  • Check their website or social media for the latest theme updates and ticket information before visiting.

Final Thoughts

The Great Worcester Maize Maze is a brilliant countryside escape and an excellent choice for summer holiday fun. It offers a perfect mix of wholesome entertainment and just enough challenge to keep everyone engaged. We’d highly recommend it for families with kids, groups of friends, or anyone looking to unplug and enjoy the outdoors.
